My name is Adelina. I'm one of the students who went to Barcelona in November. I've got to say that it is an amazing city to visit. It's full of places, objects of interest and today I'll tell you about some of them.
The first place I'd like to talk about is the beautiful church called Sagrada Familia. I'll start out by telling you the fact I know from Wikipedia. It has been built for 130 years, but it is still in the progress of building. While this church falls into Art Nouveau period, its style is far from the usual buildings of this time. It's hard to find anything similar to it in an entire history of art.
I was amazed as I saw it for the first time. It was the most beautiful and biggest piece of art I have ever seen. Yes, that's right, a piece of art - it was hard to call this church a building as it looked like a giant sculpture, which captivated me with its glory and I felt like a pitiful being besides it. Like a mouse. Or a flea. Well, you get the idea.
Sagrada Familia and other Gaudi's buildings, which I saw in Barcelona, proved that this person was a great architect and I'm happy that I've got an opportunity to see his works.
The other place, which I'd like to talk about (as I have a lot of photos of it), is a beautiful town called Sitges, which is about 35 kilometers southwest of Barcelona. It was a great trip because of a lot of reasons.

One of the reasons would be a fact that I saw Mediterranean Sea for the first time. It left a great impression on me - I liked how peaceful it was. I compared it to the yellowish Baltic Sea and was fascinated by the beautiful blue color of Mediterranean Sea. It's a pity that I forgot my swimsuit!
The other reason why I liked it was the atmosphere of this town. It was as peaceful as the sea. I loved the architecture, the colors, the scents... I couldn't help but feel relaxed and happy there and I couldn't stop smiling as if I had some mental problems.
I could tell you even more about my travel to Barcelona, but I think this will be enough. I'm really grateful that I got a chance to get this experience.
