San Pietro in Vincoli (Saint Peter in Chains) is a Roman
Catholic titular church and minor basilica in Rome, built under the generosity of an Imperial matron, Eudoxia, daughter of
Theodosius the Younger and wife of the Emperor Valentinian III. The interior of
the church is imposing, the central nave is lined with twenty columns of
antique marble.
